Services

The library offers computer access, printing, copying, and fax services to the general public. You do not need a library card!

Computer Use

All library cardholders may access the public computers for up to 2 hours each day for free! If you do not have a library card please see the library service desk for a 15 minute or 2 hour pass.

Faxing

See the service desk for a free fax cover sheet. Library staff will send the prepared fax for you and return your documents along with a confirmation page that the fax was sent successfully.

Faxes are $1.00 per page. Cover sheets are sent free of charge. Double sided pages are charged as two separate pages.

Printing and Copying

All printing and copying services are priced at $0.25 per page for black and white or $1.00 per page for color. Our copy machine is self-service and accepts nickels, dimes, quarters, $1 and $5 bills. Please see the service desk if you would like assistance with the copy machine.

Print from Anywhere

You can now send your print job to the library from anywhere, at any time, and pick it up at your convenience during business hours! Mobile printing is priced the same as printing from our public computers, $0.25 per page for black and white or $1.00 per page for color. See the library service desk if you need assistance. 

Mobile printing is as easy as 1 2 3! Follow these easy steps:

  1. Click “Print From Anywhere” at the bottom of our library home page.
  2. Select B&W or Color, enter your email address, and browse your device to find and select the file to print. Click the gray forward/play button.
  3. Check your printing options on the next page and click the green print icon. You’ll see the status of your print job on the next page.

See the service desk at the library within 48 hours to pay for and pick up your mobile printing. 

Accessibility Services

In accordance with the requirements of title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”), the Millington Public Library will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. The Library provides accessibility services for customers who have a disability to ensure that blind, deaf, deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing, visually-impaired and other special needs customers can access library services, resources and programs.

The Library also provides reasonable accommodations, by request, for physical access, communications, or other needs to ensure services, resources, and programs are available to people with disabilities. To request an accommodation, please contact the Library Director at least three days prior to the date the accommodation is needed.

The library has the following resources available for people who are visually impaired:

  • newly updated large print book collection
  • audiobooks on CD
  • access to 100,000 audiobooks and ebooks through TN READS using OverDrive’s Libby application available for any device.
  • access to library materials including music and movies using the HOOPLA application for any device.

Our friendly staff can also help individuals with disabilities apply to get free recorded, large print, and braille materials from the Tennessee Library & Archives.

Tennessee Library for Accessible Books & Media (TLABM)

A free library program of over 150,000 recorded, large print, and braille materials available to residents of Tennessee who are not able to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability. The Tennessee Library for Accessible Books and Media (TLABM) partners with the National Library Service at the Library of Congress (NLS) to administer this free library service. Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. by OverDrive

For those with reduced vision or a reading disability, our digital collection of eBooks and audiobooks provided by Tennessee R.E.A.D.S. can be a great option! With a catalog of over 100,000 digital items there’s something for every reader. Accessibility features like the OpenDyslexic font, high contrast text options, and the ability to increase text size make eBooks much more accessible than standard print. Support for screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver are also available, in addition to thousands of high-quality audiobooks.

Services may include:

  • Professional evaluation to determine assistive technology needs
  • Recommendations and referral for computer access devices, adaptive software and hardware, home and workplace modifications, environmental controls for lighting and phones, low vision aid evaluations, etc.
